Public service broadcasters

"My mission is to restore the values of the public service broadcaster in the Radio-Television Vojvodina (RTV), together with the team of journalists who already work for the RTV and those who will join them", said the new programme director of the RTV, Sanda Savic, who has transferred from TV B92 to the public service broadcaster of Vojvodina.

The media audience

In a few days, TV Bor will join the Open IPTV system of Telecom Serbia, allowing the citizens in Majdanpek, Zagubica, Negotin, Donji Milanovac, Zajecar, Boljevac and Bor to use this service offered by Telecom Serbia. Apart from a large part of the Timocka Krajina district, the TV station's programme will be available to around 100,000 viewers from Austria, Germany and Switzerland, thanks to the contract concluded with the Austrian company GSS on inclusion of the TV Bor in its IPTV system.

There is still no information on the meeting between the leaders of two TV stations – the director of Radio-Television Serbia (RTS), Aleksandar Tijanic, and the director of RTV Pink, Zeljko Mitrovic – that was held on July 18 in the restaurant "Frans" in Belgrade, writes Politika daily newspaper. None of them wanted to make any comment on the claim that the meeting was organized due to increase in ratings of the third, competing TV station.

In Memoriam

A renowned essayist and a literary and theatrical critic, Muharem Pervic, passed away at the age of 77. Since 1958 he was the editor of the literary magazine "Delo" and the editor of the cultural and art programme of the Television Belgrade during the time of high-quality dramatic programmes and series for children and youth, as well as the programmes "Kino Oko" and "Petkom u 22". During four and a half decades he worked as the theatrical critic of Politika daily newspaper.

Other news

Fifty days after the death of the singer Darko Radovanovic, Radio-Television Vojvodina aired the programme entitled "I Have a Wish", in which he was one of the guests, without notifying the viewers in any way that it was a re-run or a memorial airing.
