Daily newspaper Press reports that TV BK might easily appear on the media scene of Serbia in autumn. There are plans, supported by the Karic family, to launch the TV station with a 24 hour-a day programme. Reliable sources say to Press that several TV stations have been contacted regarding purchase of on-air time or even takeover.

The news that the EU Council decided to grant the status of candidate for membership in the EU was first announced by Twitter users. The decision was first made public by Herman Van Rompuy, the president of the European Council, on the social network Twitter. The example of European officials has not been followed by Serbian journalists. Professor Miroljub Radojkovic said at the public discussion entitled "How the Traditional Media Uses Social Networks": "Out of 260 interviewed journalists from all parts of Serbia, more than 50 percent still use individuals who are competent to speak about certain topics as a source of information, while the Internet is used as a source of information by only a fifth of the interviewees. Those who do, have most confidence in official websites and news published by global media companies. Only a quarter of the interviewees gathers information from social networks", said Professor Radojkovic.
