In an open letter sent to editors-in-chief, newspaper publishers and heads of radio and television stations, more than 350 German female journalists demanded introduction of 30 percent quotas for women in senior executive positions in the media. Today, women comprise two percent of editors-in-chief of 360 German daily newspapers and weekly magazines. Only three out of 13 editors-in-chief of publicly-owned German radio and TV stations are women.

Digitalization

Representatives of the Public Company "Emisiona tehnika i veze" (ETV), the Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society, and the Republic Agency for Electronic Communication (RATEL), have informed television broadcasters about the plan for testing of the digital signal. ETV has presented TV broadcasters 15 locations for broadcasting of the signal in all parts of Serbia. At the same time, broadcasters have been informed about the required technical conditions and the contract on providing of multiplex, distribution and broadcasting services in the initial network.

The beginning of digitalization of television is planned for the first trimester of 2013, said today the assistant for telecommunication in the Ministry of Culture, Media and Information Society, Irina Reljin. "One by one, the analog coverage zones will be turned off and transitioned to digital coverage. The complex process will take place in 13 coverage zones", said Reljin.
