Apart from being frequently exposed to excessively long advertisement blocks on television channels, viewers are also disturbed by loud commercials. Although the maximum allowed sound volume is 50 kHz, some of the commercials are no less than three times louder than that, according to research. Regardless of the fact that the Republic Broadcasting Agency (RRA) warned some of the broadcasters last year that they would be subject to "certain measures", many citizens have complained again to the RRA.

The first deputy prime minister, Aleksandar Vucic, said that the general picture about the changes in the ownership structure of the newspapers Politika, Novosti and Dnevnik from Novi Sad is now known. Talking to journalists in the Embassy of Serbia in Moscow, he added that all the details would be known by the end of August. He pointed out that a "political party leviathan" was behind the affair, and that even diplomatic and consular representative offices were used in the interest of a political party.
